Display Your Certificate

Frame your certificate and hang it in a high-traffic area of your community. Contact SLCC to reorder your certificate.

Wear Your Lapel Pin

SLCC mails all CDALs their lapel pins within 60 days of receiving notification of certification.

Stamp Your Email Signature with the CDAL Badge

Promote your CDAL designation in the signature of your email. The digital badge will remind people of your achievement. Digital badge package is now available for download.

Update Your Name

Use the acronym of your credential after your name like this FirstName LastName, CDAL. Update your name everywhere you connect with current and prospective residents/families, and employers.

1.) When you add CDAL to the end of your name on Linkedin, recruiters searching for certified EDs will be able to easily find you! (see below)

Update Your Biography

Your CDAL credential creates trust and increases awareness of your professionalism. When sharing information on what you do for a living, be sure to mention that you are a credentialed executive director. Include your credential on your resume, professional biography, and LinkedIn profile, and tell your followers and fans about your new credential on Facebook and Twitter.

Here’s a few lines you can use to describe the credential and its value:

“I am a Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL), credentialed by the Senior Living Certification Commission (SLCC).
