Display Your Certificate

Frame your certificate and hang it in a high-traffic area of your community. Contact SLCC to reorder your certificate.

Wear Your Lapel Pin

SLCC mails all CDALs lapel pins after receiving notification of certification.

Stamp Your Email Signature with the CDAL Logo

Promote your CDAL designation in the signature of your email.

Update Your Presence

Use the acronym of your credential after your name (i.e. Jane Smith, CDAL). Update your name everywhere you connect with current and prospective residents/families, and employers.

1. When you add CDAL to the end of your name on Linkedin, recruiters searching for certified EDs will be able to easily find you! (see below)

2. Join the CDAL LinkedIn Group page to network with other CDALs and mentor someone planning to take the test!

Update Your Biography

Your CDAL credential creates trust and increases awareness of your professionalism. Include your credential on your resume, professional biography, and LinkedIn profile, and tell your followers and fans about your new credential on Facebook and Twitter.

Here’s a few lines you can use to describe the credential and its value:

“I am a Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL), credentialed by the Senior Living Certification Commission (SLCC). This certification recognizes my knowledge of senior living, my professionalism, and most importantly, my competency and dedication to providing the highest quality service to residents and their families.”

Share a Testimonial

Share a brief testimonial with SLCC about your experience earning the CDAL, which SLCC will use to promote the credential and raise awareness of its importance. Share your headshot, name, title, company, and community.

The strength of the credential lies in the consumer and industry’s knowledge of the value of the CDAL. Please make sure to connect with your social media team and have them repost all of your efforts!
