IRVINE, Calif. — Considered the gold standard of assisted living credentials, five MBK Senior Living team members have earned a Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL) certificate. Awarded by the Senior Living Certification Commission, a total of 20 MBK Senior Living’s operations and community management now hold CDAL credentials.
The most recent MBK Senior Living team members to complete the CDAL program are:
- Dee Navarro, regional director of operations for California and Oregon
- Larry Potter, executive director of Dale Commons in Modesto, California
- Pam Hardesty, executive director of Crystal Terrace in Klamath Falls, Oregon
- Wayne Barney, executive director of The Charleston of Cedar Hills in Cedar Hills, Utah
- Cathy Allen, executive director of Oakmont Gardens in Santa Rosa, California
“Earning a CDAL credential demonstrates the dedication our management team has to providing the highest quality of care and service to residents and their families,” said Rob Henderson, vice president of operations for MBK Senior Living. “We congratulate these leaders for their passion for excellence, and unyielding drive to enhance residents’ and staffs’ experience within our communities.”
To earn a CDAL credential individuals must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency, knowledge, and leadership. Additional eligibility requirements include holding a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of one year of work experience as an assisted living community executive director, or a minimum of three years of work experience in a management capacity in one or more assisted living communities. Individuals who become CDAL-certified are required to recertify every three years.
